Excellent, Colyn.

Private was a tad smaller than what I'd guess....I thought it was 10% and perhaps rising a bit with ESAs.

Has anyone ever estimated the % of public school parents who move (homes) in order to choose their district? In theory you could find the spike of parents who move with kids age 3 and 4 out of a city compared to mobility of kids age 2 and age 5....

Any sense of updated micro school enrollment?

Hey Mike, thanks so much for the note! Private school data lags a bit (we are still working with 2021-22 data, but should have 2023-24 data here soon) so perhaps a bump closer to 10% is in the range of outcomes as we get newer data.

It is a bit tough to estimate the % of public school parents who are migrating from different districts or even states. ACS data would be the best bet, but we would not have a way to determine the exact age of the children. It is in interesting idea though.

As for microschool enrollment, we are working on several projects with partners in the microschooling community to get a better sense of overall enrollment. Microschool data is the hot topic, and there is much work to be done to understand the community better. Exciting times ahead in that sector for sure.

Thanks again for your support!
